Polyalphaolefins (PAO), also called synthetic hydrocarbons, are often chosen when mineral oil does not meet the demands of the operating environment. PAOs offer a broader temperature performance than mineral oils (-60°C to 150°C vs. -30° C to 100°C), improved oxidative and thermal stability, lower pour point, and higher Viscosity Indexes. ECL offers PAO greases with a wide range of thickeners.
